Add A New Scenario To The Library

This tab is where you can add details of the first patient in your scenario. You can add details for more patients in the same scenario when you submit this first patient on the finishing up tab (this just makes sure we can link all your patients together and none get lost as that would be really annoying!)

Add a name for the patient. (PLEASE DO NOT USE REAL PATIENT NAMES) You can leave this blank if you would like a random name added.

Observations for patient 1:

Add up to 8 sets of observations for the patient! Use the help icons for guidance of what info. to put. Remember, you don't need to give values for everything - most first aiders will never take a blood glucose measurement for example...so make it appropriate to your audience.

Time after start: This is the time from the start of the scenario so you could have ones for 0mins, 2mins and 4mins for example.
Response: What is your patients response? AVPU is ideal for this (A=Alert, V=Voice response, P=Pain response, U=Unresponsive)
Airway Clear?: Is the airway clear? You could simply answer yes or no or could explain that it sounds a bit gurgly or similar.
Breathing: Are they breathing? Yes or no?
Respirations: What is the patient's resp rate? What is their breathing like...shallow, deep etc?
Pulse: You could give the pulse rate and perhaps what the quality of the pulse is (e.g. is it bounding or weak?)
Oxygen Sats.: What is the oxygen saturation level of the patient?
Pain Score: Give the pain score for the patient. There might be more than one injury/issue with differing pain scores, why not just give the main one (or specify) and add the others in the 'findings on examination' box in the previous tab?
Blood Pressure: State the patient's blood pressure. Remember this might not be appropriate depending on who you are intending the scenario to be aimed at.
Temperature: Patient's temperature - if relevant.
Blood Glucose: State the blood glucose level of the patient. Again, this won't be necessary in scenarios where the intended audience will be people who can't carry out this skill.
GCS: In many cases at first aider level, giving an AVPU response level is sufficient. Other situations may require a more specific response with the use of GCS. You can input the final score or separate it into the three parts (EVM).

Got any tips for the patient actor?

If you want to add more patients to the scenario, then press the 'add more patients button'. If you have finished your scenario, hit the 'save finished scenario' button. Pretty obvious really!
